The feature is designed to avoid connection charges or to stop Outlook from attempting to send and receive messages over a slow network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable working offline, Click <strong>Send\/ Receive<\/strong> then the <strong>Work Offline<\/strong> button:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"637\" height=\"156\" src=\"http:\/\/busix.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Annotation-2020-02-20-094553-e1582221025769.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1474\" srcset=\"https:\/\/busix.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Annotation-2020-02-20-094553-e1582221025769.png 637w, https:\/\/busix.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Annotation-2020-02-20-094553-e1582221025769-300x73.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 637px) 100vw, 637px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To confirm you are in offline mode, &#8220;<strong>Working Offline<\/strong>&#8221; will appear on the status bar at the bottom of the Outlook window:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"321\" height=\"36\" src=\"http:\/\/busix.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Annotation-2020-02-20-095642-e1582221471792.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1476\" srcset=\"https:\/\/busix.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Annotation-2020-02-20-095642-e1582221471792.png 321w, https:\/\/busix.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Annotation-2020-02-20-095642-e1582221471792-300x34.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 321px) 100vw, 321px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As well, the button will now appear highlighted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"215\" height=\"114\" src=\"http:\/\/busix.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Annotation-2020-02-20-100419.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1478\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: When switching between online and offline, all email accounts are changed accordingly<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are ready to return to work online or inadvertently find yourself in Offline mode when you don&#8217;t intend to be,  it is easy to correct:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <strong>Send\/ Receive<\/strong> then the <strong>Work Offline<\/strong> button<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The button will still say &#8220;Work Offline&#8221;; however, it will no longer be highlighted.
